More upsetting news from Rome! This is a sad commentary on who allows these men to be ordained and even elevated to Monsignor! Let’s pray for this priest, that the Divine Mercy will be in his soul.
VATICAN CITY — The Vatican on Saturday fired a monsignor who came out as gay on the eve of a big meeting of the world’s bishops to discuss church outreach to gays, divorcees and more traditional Catholic families.
Monsignor Kryzstof Charamsa was a mid-level official in the Vatican’s doctrine office. In newspaper interviews published in Italy and Poland on Saturday, Charamsa said he was happy and proud to be a gay priest, and was in love with a man whom he identified as his boyfriend.
“The decision to make such a pointed statement on the eve of the opening of the synod appears very serious and irresponsible, since it aims to subject the synod assembly to undue media pressure,” the Vatican spokesman, the Rev. Federico Lombardi, said in a statement.

Fr. Zuhlsdorf has an update on all this craziness:
On the eve of the Synod, a homosexual priest working for the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and teaching at a university in Rome publicly announced himself to be a homosexual and that he has a “companion”. He took advantage of the imminent Synod and recent news stories about the “gay friendly” Pope Francis to come out and also to issue an absurd 10 point “manifesto” demanding that the Church change her teachings about homosexuality.
Keep in mind that even were the Church to do that – in his dreams – it wouldn’t be enough. Nothing is enough for militant “gays”.
