For the third year, the Diocese of Orlando Secretariat of Evangelization and the Office of Hispanic Ministry are presenting a Marian Congress with workshops in both English and Spanish for Catholics to grow in their understanding of and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The theme for this year will be “The Role of Mary in Our Faith.”

The congress will begin Friday, Oct. 21 at the Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe in Orlando, with an opening liturgy. There will be a community procession and rosary at 6:30 p.m. and Mass at 7:30 p.m. celebrated by Bishop John Noonan.

On Oct. 22, the Marian Congress will continue at Holy Redeemer Parish in Kissimmee with a day of workshops, a musical tribute to the Blessed Mother and prayer.

The Marian Congress will explore Marian devotions and the role of Mary in our Catholic faith with separate English and Spanish language presentations as well as musical performances by local parish choirs. There will be two Keynote Addresses by Father Randy Soto: “Mary in the Scriptures” and “Mary in the Life of the Church for the 3rd Millennium.”

All the information you need to plan your participation and register is found here on this website. We hope you will join us for this beautiful celebration in honor of Mary, Mother of God, patroness of the Diocese of Orlando.
