Now I order you to retain this creed for your nourishment throughout life and never to accept any alternative, not even if I myself were to change and say something contrary to what I am now teaching, not even if some angel of contradiction, changed into an angel of light, tried to lead you astray. For even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which you have now received, let him be accursed in your sight. – St Cyril of Jerusalem
South Sudan Update from the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio
It’s heartbreaking to see little children with visible signs of malnutrition.
Just a few months ago, we asked for your help to feed women and children suffering from the famine in South Sudan. You responded and we are grateful.
We recently received news from the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio in South Sudan, our partner on the ground for emergency food distribution.
Thank you for putting your faith into action.
Bishop Eduardo told us that just last week, hunger claimed the lives of dozens of people in this region and that more than a million children all across South Sudan are suffering from acute malnutrition. CMMB is still one of the very few organizations providing relief on the ground. It is only with support from compassionate people like you that we can keep delivering emergency food, medicine, and critical care to suffering women and children, wherever they are. Emergency relief means the difference between living and dying, hope and despair.
Once again, I’m asking you to continue your support for the most vulnerable. Feeding the hungry and healing the sick is what our faith calls us to do. Please continue to pray for peace in South Sudan.
