7 psalms for when you need to ask God for help but don’t have the words

I love the Psalms and pray some of them every day, especially in the Liturgy of the Hours, the Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and of course, the Responsorial  Psalms at daily Mass. My favorite from the list below is:

Psalm 78:9 [79:9] Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)

Help us, O God, our Saviour: and for the glory of Thy name, O Lord, deliver us: and forgive us our sins for Thy name’s sake

Asking for help doesn’t come easily to everyone. Whether we see it as a sign of weakness or are convinced that we can manage everything on our own, many of us wait until we’re almost at breaking point before we request or accept a helping hand.

So, if you find it tough asking God for help on anything, let these seven psalms spur you on.
