The Few Big Things That Francis and Kirill Didn’t Say To Each Other In Havana

 

This is an interesting article about our relations to the Orthodox Church I love the Divine Liturgy and have attended many services at some Eastern parishes, Sadly, I was not allowed to receive the Eucharist there and I do have trouble with some of their beliefs. From what I read, the Orthodox do not believe in the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary or Her Assumption into Heaven. Their teachings about Baptism is not like Roman Catholicism and they certainly don’t believe in Purgatory. Some Orthodox even believe that Hell is only temporary for some souls. I do pray that some day we can be united, but I believe it would take God’s intervention and not man’s to do it!
